Common Questions:

Do you have a specialty?
I specialize in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Whether they are personal, occupational, or sports related, my goal is to safely, naturally, and effectively relieve pain and restore full performance.

Does Acupuncture hurt?
No, generally speaking acupuncture does not hurt, although it is not without sensation. As hair thin needles are inserted into acu-points on the body, Qi or energy is accessed, producing a Qi sensation. This is an unusual experience given that most of us are not used to feeling our energy moving like that. First-time patients are usually amazed at how relaxed they feel during a treatment.

What is Qi?
Qi is the energy that resides within everything that is living. Qi flows through energetic pathways called meridians just as blood flows through our blood vessels. It brings nourishment and health to every cell, tissue, organ, muscle, and gland. Acupuncture balances your Qi so that it reaches every part of your body, creating and maintaining health and wellness.

How many treatments do I need?
Each patient responds differently to treatment. Based on your individual needs, a treatment plan will be presented to you.

How long is each treatment?
Your first treatment is one and a half hours. It consists of a medical history, detailed information about your reason for coming, and an acupuncture treatment. Follow up sessions will be between forty minutes and one hour.
